Tyler Perry has, fortunately, won the lawsuit filed against him by a woman named Donna West claiming he stole his hit play and movie Diary of a Mad Black Woman from her. Jurors found that West did not present evidence that supported her claim of copyright infringement. She claims that Perry saw her play Fantasy of a Black Woman and took material from it. NEW JENNIFER HUDSON MUSIC VIDEO
Photobucket
Photobucket

She's baaaaaaaack!!!

My girl J-Hud is back and I couldn't be happier. This girl must have went through HELL and I'm glad that she's finally lifting her head up and choosing to keep on moving, no matter how much the events of the past weeks still may hurt. Jennifer recently shot the video to her next single of her debut self-entitled album. The song is called "If This Isn't Love" and the video is directed by Syndrome. I've said this one and I'll say it again: this girl's album is hot! Much much better than I ever expected it to be and I'm glad she's back because "Spotlight" definitely wasn't the best song on there. I would have thought "We Gon' Fight" would be her next single seeing as it kinda fits with what has recently occurred in her life. Regardless...I'm excited to see the video. Keep ya head up, J-Hud!!!
SINGLE LADIES & TRY AGAIN REMIX
Photobucket

Above is a video someone created on youtube of Beyonce's Single Ladies but mixed with the late Aaliyah's "Try Again". I must say...it's pretty hot. Listening to it makes me miss Aaliyah and I wonder where she would be right now had she not been in that plane...a lot of these wannabe R&B acts wouldn't even be here today, if you ask me. *cough*Cassie&Ciara*cough*

BRANDY PERFORMS ON TYRA AND THE MORNING SHOW

Photobucket

My girl Brandy has been on a promotional blitz for her new album, Human, which hit stores TODAY!!! Truly hot album - everyone should buy it and give it a shot. I honestly hope that she sells but seeing as she's been out of the game for a while, I don't think she will sell more than 300k, if she makes it there. Which truly a disappointment because this is a hot album.

Here's her performance of "Long Distance" on the Tyra show.

Follow the links to see the rest of her performances: Right Here (Departed) - Tyra, Long Distance - The Morning Show, Right Here (Departed) - The Morning Show.

I really hope Brandy sees success with this album!

KERI HILSON FEAT. R-KELLY: NUMBER 1 SEX

Photobucket

A new Keri Hilson song feat. R-Kelly has hit the net. The song, entitled "Number One Sex" seems to be a demo for a male R&B singer. Even so, the net is already buzzing with rumors of Keri swinging both ways. And even if that's true, so what? If you ask me, this song is hot. But sorry to bust your bubble, guys. It's just a demo.
BEYONCE ATTENDS DINNER

Beyonce attended the Kennedy Center Honors State Department Dinner last night in DC.

Is it me or has Bey been looking better than ever lately?
NEW VIDS: THE GAME & LUDA

The official video for Ludacris' new music video "Everybody Hates Chris" premiered not too long ago:

Also, The Game's new video "Camera Phone" feat Ne-Yo premiered:

BEYONCE DONATES SALARY

According to the UK site Digital Spy, and many other American sites, Beyonce donated her salary from the movie "Cadillac Records", in theaters now, to the Phoenix House drug rehabilitation center in New York.

"Beyoncé has donated her pay cheque from new movie Cadillac Records to a drug rehabilitation centre.

The singer visited New York's Phoenix House to research her role of Etta James, who battled a heroin addiction.

The star was moved to tears after meeting with six African-American women who were at the substance abuse charity.

Darnell Martin, director of the movie, confirmed that Beyoncé would be donating her pay cheque to the charity."

What doesn't this girl do? I think it's amazing for her to do this - seeing as she must have made a load of money from that movie. Many always see Beyonce as a diva but even she hasn't publicized this. Her mother Tina Knowles did in an interview to show examples of what Beyonce does for others but aren't mentioned in the media.

NELLY - "ONE AND ONLY"

Nelly's brand new video for his song One and Only off his album "Brass Knuckles", (in stores now), premiered online not too long ago. What do you think?
BEYONCE'S OSCAR NOD

According to many critics and movie-goers, Beyonce may just have her first Oscar nod for her role in Cadillac Records as the notorious but legendary Etta James.

________
Beyoncé Knowles could have nabbed an Oscar nomination as Best Supporting Actress. That's how good she is playing it all sexy, sassy and druggy as Etta James, the R&B singer who found the soul in songs like "At Last." Too bad for Knowles that she's only part of Darnell Martin's rushed mess of a movie that jams the story of Chicago-based Chess Records into one incoherent package. Adrien Brody plays Leonard Chess, who started the company in the 1950s with his brother Phil (we hardly see him) to record great blues artists and pay them with Caddys. There's Jeffrey Wright as Muddy Waters, Eamonn Walker's as Howlin' Wolf, and a lively Mos Def as Chuck Berry. It's all a blur, except for the music. That's workin'."

-Rolling Stone
__________
All I can say is WOW! I'm a Beyonce fan but I'm not delusional. She was never a GREAT actor - she was an exceptional one; she was definitely not bad. I'm really excited to see this movie. I hope she gets the nomination!
William Balfour's Mother Speaks

The mother of William Balfour, the man convicted of murder the mother, brother, and nephew of Jennifer Hudson, has spoken once more:

Hmm...a lot of you may pounce on me for this but as ghetto as she sounds, there's something fishy to me about this whole thing. Yes, it is VERY sad and I was praying for J-Hud just like everyone else but for some reason I can't help feeling that he may just be innocent. He may have known what was going on, but whether he physically murdered them himself...

What do you think?
BRANDY: "HUMAN" BONUS TRACK
A bonus track from Brandy's upcoming album "Human", due out this coming Tuesday, has surfaced online:

I'm lovin' the track. It fits in with the rest of her album, which by the way, is a very good and solid album. I really hope she sells, especially with the promotion that she's been on. And she still has a few more interviews, performances coming up.
